Vocab List
Blog Homework List and Other (there should be a blog post about each of the following)
- Memorize or otherwise possess a presentable coherent knowledge of great lines 441-581 in Antigone. These focus on the 5 combative pairings: man v. woman, young v. old, individual v. society, living v. dead, and men v. gods.
- Instead of saying "what's new?" say "what's old?"
- For the first test we must know Antigone p 231 -277.
- According to Dr. Sexson, inspiration for great plays are the responsibility of women from coffee houses and the local news.
- There will be quite a bit of Greek vocabulary and some Latin as well. Arm yourself with a good dictionary or use Google as an expert. I like this dictionary. Caution! It provides a little bit more information than you expect.

Blog Homework List and Other (there should be a blog post about each of the following)
- Read an issue of the Bozeman Chronicle through the lens of the ages, of mythology, and with an eye for what's between the lines. Answer: why is todays paper old? because even if it's new it's still happened before.
- Feb 6th 7pm @ Boarders Bookstore, Dr. Sexson will be discussing why we read things over and over again. Should be a very interesting conversation. Hope to see you there!
